On Friday, all organizations under the Buhari/Uzodimma youth campaign group gathered at the campaign office of the newly sworn in Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, from where they proceeded to Government house in Owerri for a Solidarity visit to the Governor.
The group which walked all the way to the governor’s temporary office located close to the state judiciary headquarters, were in a joyful mood as they continued chanting Solidarity songs all through the period of the procession.
On arrival at the entrance of Owerri government house, the security men on duty advised them to remain at that point, where they waited for the Governor who was expected to come out to address them.
Just within few minutes after, Senator Uzodimma emerged on his way out, he had a brief stopover at that point where the campaign groups where waiting and acknowledged cheers to the admiration of the crowd present at the venue.
During his interaction with the enthusiastic crowd, an earlier prepared letter of request was submitted to him by one of the leaders of the group on behalf of all the campaign organizations present.
The procession was led by the coordinators of the various organizations that participated in the solidarity rally.
Recall that the Supreme court had earlier affirmed Senator Hope Uzodinmma as the authentic winner of the 2019 Imo Governorship election and ordered for him to be sworn in immediately.
