Argentina couldn’t get the victory against Iceland on Saturday afternoon and were held to a 1-1 draw, with Leo Messi  missing a penalty in the second half.

MESSI MISSING THE PENALTY

Goals from Sergio Aguero and Alfred Finnbogason in the first half made it 1-1 at the break, before Messi was given a chance to put his side back in front in the 64th minute, when Hordur Bjorgvin Magnusson was deemed to have fouled Maximiliano Meza in the area.

Yet Hannes Halldorsson saved the No.10’s spot kick, meaning Messi has now failed to score four of his past seven penalty attempts, counting efforts for both Barcelona and Argentina.
