Belgium and Chelsea star player, Eden Hazard, has confirmed that he is not on the same level as the footballer he calls his “good friend” Mohamed Salah, who now plays for Liverpool FC.
It could be recalled that the two briefly played together at Stamford Bridge, where Salah at that time struggled for game time.
However, since he returned to English football in 2017, the Egyptian has really taken the Premier League by storm. He won the Golden Boot last season with 32 goals, a record number in a 38-game Premier League season.
Even this season, Salah is just one goal behind the top scorer, who is Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero.
During an interview with NBC Sports, Hazard spoke about his favourite players.
“I like (Luka) Modric. He’s more of a midfielder than me but, of course, I like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Mo Salah is one of my good friends and he’s doing something incredible.
“I try to look at this player and this player and try to reach that level,” he said.
