Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha , the governor of Imo State, has appointed Barr. Uche Onyeagucha as Secretary to the State Government.

Onyeagucha was a governorship aspirant of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA during the last primary election in the state, as well as a former member of the House of representatives.

The governor also appointed a former Secretary to the State Government and Chairman of the Ihedioha inauguration committee, Chris Okewulonu as his chief of staff.

In a statement issued in Owerri, the state capital by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Chibuike Onyeukwu, on Saturday, he disclosed that Chima Nwana was appointed the Deputy Chief of Staff while the chairman of Peoples Democratic Party in the Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, Chinemerem Madu was selected as the Chief of Protocol.

The statement further clarified that the appointments were with immediate effect.

It could be recalled that Governor Ihedioha, immediately after he was sworn in on Wednesday appointed a journalist, Steve Osuji, as his Special Adviser on Media and Chibuike Onyeukwu, his Chief Press Secretary.
