Sinton’s lawyer scores high marks worldwide
A LAWYER from the Northeast has received a global award for having received the highest grade in the world in recent exams.
Lauren Fraser received an Excellence Award from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) for her work in managing estate assessment.
Lauren, a specialist attorney for wills, trusts and estates at Sintons, ranked first among hundreds of attorneys around the world who passed the exam earlier this year.
STEP is a highly respected international organization that supports professionals working in the field of trusts and estates for their quality. The assessment process is extremely rigorous to ensure that only the highest quality lawyers are accredited.
Sintons' award-winning will, trust and estate team already has a number of STEP-accredited specialists.
“The tests for accreditation by STEP are very exhausting, which is only right so that STEP can be absolutely sure that its members have the necessary specialist knowledge in these very special legal areas.
“But getting the highest grade in the world is a great honor. It was very unexpected, but I'm really excited, ”said Lauren, who qualified as a lawyer in 2018.
“Sintons helped me a lot with my exams, both in terms of the time it takes to study and the guidance I receive every day from my colleagues, many of whom regularly lead in their field are recognized regionally and nationally.
"I look forward to continuing to work towards full membership of STEP and am grateful for this fantastic award for my exam in managing discounts."
Paul Nickalls, head of the wills, trusts and estates team at Sintons, said: “This is a phenomenal feat by Lauren. She is a committed and hardworking lawyer with great potential. The fact that she received this Excellence Award is a recognition of her skills.
“Lauren has played a key role in our team since she came to us. She is a very capable legal adviser who offers exceptional service to her clients and she has made a name for herself in this relatively early phase of her career. Our team and everyone at Sintons are very proud of Laurens performance and we look forward to continuing to work with her as she continues to develop. "
